Moisturising rose bath bomb
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons dried rose petals
1 cup bicarbonate of soda
1 cup citric acid
½ cup cornstarch or arrowroot powder
½ cup castor oil
1 teaspoon vitamin E oil
3 drops geranium essential oil
3 drops rose otto
6 drops lavender essential oil
6 drops pink grapefruit essential oil
6 drops mandarin essential oil
Equipment:
Glass jug or beaker
Spoon
Cheesecloth
Silicone mould (optional)
Instructions:
Infuse 1 tablespoon of dried rose petals with castor oil overnight
Strain the oil through a cheesecloth into a glass jug and set aside
Stir all of the dry ingredients together in a glass bowl until mixed
Add rose infused castor oil, essential oils and vitamin E oil to the dry ingredients and mix until you have a crumbly mixture that still holds together well
Divide the mixture into 5 equal portions
Gently roll each portion into a ball without pressing too hard (or use a silicone mould)
Roll the bath bomb balls in the remaining rose petals
Let the bath bombs set overnight, and let them air dry for another 24 hours after that
Store them in an airtight jar
