Part-time Shop Assistant (via Kickstart Programme)
Bulk Market® is a social enterprise on a mission to tackle food and packaging waste, supporting small-scale organic farmers, workers cooperatives and local food makers who are making a difference to the community and the environment. We apply the 5 Rs of Zero Waste to Landfill to our business model - refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle, rot (compost), operating using the principles of the Circular Economy. First of its kind to open in London, our store has been nominated for two consecutive years among the 100 Best Shops in London by TimeOut. We are an equal opportunity employer.
We are looking for someone who keeps up to date on low waste living, knows our products, takes pride in whatever they do, carrying out everything to the highest standards, making sure the shop floor is shipshape ready for when our customers arrive. You'll do everything from receiving and handling heavy goods deliveries to dealing with enquiries and ensuring that our shelves are fully stocked with well-presented products. And, of course, you'll provide excellent customer service at all times by attending to customer needs in a prompt and friendly way. It's a really fast-paced environment, and everyone understands exactly what needs to happen to make the store a success - and gets on with doing it. There's a real family feel here, and we all pitch in as part of a close-knit team.
